Innovation & Ventures Specialist

Job Purpose

As an  Innovation & Ventures Specialist, you will lead the exploration and development of new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in identifying emerging trends, developing business cases, and working with stakeholders to launch new ventures or products. You will play a key role in expanding the company's product portfolio, bringing fresh ideas from concept to execution. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and disruptive technologies to drive innovation within the company. 
• Lead the development of business cases for new ventures, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling. 
• Work closely with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to explore the feasibility of new ventures and define go-to-market strategies. 
• Facilitate collaboration with external partners, investors, and startups to enhance the company’s new venture pipeline. 
• Oversee the early-stage development of new products and services, from ideation to prototype testing. 
• Define metrics and KPIs to track the success of new ventures, adjusting strategies as necessary. 
• Act as a subject matter expert on new market trends, innovation, and emerging technologies, keeping the company ahead of industry changes. 
• Ensure that new ventures align with the company’s long-term strategic goals.  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. 
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, focusing on innovation, business development, or new product ventures. 
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities. 
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
